I was so lucky to have Constance’s guidance through an audition monologue. It had been so long since I’ve played with a new monologue so I was especially nervous. Constance made me feel so comfortable and was so helpful in creating a space to play and bring forward what was going to be my best for my audition!! Constance is one of those rare directors that, thanks to her absolutely potent interpersonal skills, her own innate brilliance as an actor, and clear-sightedness to the heart of a good story, instills the utmost confidence in her actors. Confidence not only in her directing talent, but self-confidence for the actors as well. I know this because I had the very good fortune of being one of those actors some years back (though I've acted alongside her more recently, which is a different and equally magical experience, anyone who has seen her work will attest).
